Slowly but finally, we got a routine for our daily student life. In the morning we had to prepare a presentation about famous people who have had a great impact on Pittsburgh. Furthermore we learned more about the steel industry and the terrible working conditions. After lunch we read a poem about tongue twisters with Cathy to practice our English pronouncation. It started like:
„I take it you already know
Of though and bough and cough and dough?
Others may stumble but not you
On hiccough, thorough, slough and through.

In the end we had to do an interview with different people on campus in order to get some great barbecue recipes for dinner next Monday. Between classes and dinner we got free time to do our reading for the next day. Later some of us went to the South Hills Village Shopping Mall, others went to the soccer game in Pittsburghs` Heinz Field stadium.
Bringing a relaxing end to the day some of us went to the pub in „downtown“ Washington.
On the next day after breakfast we talked about the drag queen history of Pittsburgh (Sheron Needles ) as well as 21 things Pittsburgh has given to America. The best things you need to know are electricity by Ben Franklin, Pop Art by Andy Warhol, Big Mac by Jim Delligatti and the Emoticons by Scot Fahlman. In our English class Jami Klingensmith helped us to improve our skills in writing a resume.
After that we did a short shopping trip to Goodwill, an American non-profit organization, which is a donation shopping center in the US.
After dinner the part of our group who hasn´t been to the South Hills Village Shopping Mall went on Thursday. The highlight of this trip – especially for the girls – was the Victoria Secret Store.
Spontanously a group of 9 students went with Kenny to the Wiz Khalifa open air concert at Keybank Pavilion. Super great experience!
